Was united in marriage to Carrie J. Armstrong December 8th, 1886. To this union four children were born, namely; Mrs. James Coffey, Mrs. Morris Rash, Fern and Clifford, who with the wife and mother survive him. Was united in marriage to Carrie J. Armstrong December 8th, 1886. To this union four children were born, namely; Mrs. James Coffey, Mrs. Morris Rash, Fern and Clifford, who with the wife and mother survive him. The deceased had spent nearly his entire life near the place of his birth. A little over a year ago, hoping to better his condition, he moved to Kansas City, Kansas. The anticipations of this move not meeting his expectations he became despondent culminating in his death. Mr. Higgins was of a jovial disposition, kind hearted, and generous to a fault. He was devoted to his family and his sudden demise comes to them as a distinct shock. The remains were brought here from Kansas City, Thursday, for the burial accompanied by his family. The funeral services were held at the Union church at 10 o'clock, Rev. Rousey of Havensville, conducting the services. The large attendance of sorrowing friends and floral offerings bore testimony of Mr. Higgins popularity among his fellow men. Interment was made in the America City cemetery. The pallbearers were A. S. Mills, Jeff, Clem and Orville Hannum, Chas. Alexander, Arthur Coffey, and Anthony Lally. Mrs. Higgins and family desire to express their sincere thanks to all those who have so kindly assisted in this their great bereavement.
