Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dixon, with the Rev. David Liewer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Newcastle, Neb. Visitation with the family will be 4:30 to 6 p.m. today, with the vigil service at 6 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home in Laurel. Ursula Claire Kneifl was born on Sept. 29, 1923, in Dixon County, Neb., to John and Estella (McDonald) Coughlin. She grew up in Dixon County, attended country grade schools, and graduated in 1941 from Holy Trinity High School in Hartington, Neb. After high school, Ursula worked in Sioux City. She married Mike Kneifl on Nov. 12, 1947, in Laurel. They farmed in Dixon County their entire life. Ursula was very active at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dixon. She enjoyed raising her flower gardens, ceramics, oil painting, crocheting pot holders, and playing the piano. Ursula is survived by her husband of 66 years, Mike; five children, Mary Kneifl of Dixon, Michael Kneifl Jr. of Sioux Falls, S.D., Patrick Kneifl of Yankton, S.D., Anne (Ed) Remm of Omaha, and Ray (Sharon) Kneifl of Dixon; nine grandchildren; sisters, Alice Schulte of Yankton, and Theresa Kaiser of Randolph, Neb.; and nieces and nephews. Ursula was preceded in death by her parents; an infant child; sisters, Mary Hoesing, Loretta Clark, and Bernadine Addison; and brother, Jack Coughlin.
