Christian, 48 Valborg, 39 Viggo, 13 Ellen, 12 Swend, 10 Edith, 6 Erwin, 3 1/2 Valborg Petrine Pedersen was the daughter of Kristian Pedersen and Ane Marie Andersen. She travelled from Denmark to Minnesota to marry Jens Christian (Chris) Jensen on Jul. 20, 1905. They became the parents of six children; Viggo, Ellen, Svend, Edith, Erving and Alfred. In 1920 they purchased 40 acres in Manette (Bremerton), WA bounded on the west by Trenton Avenue, the east by Jacobsen Blvd., the north by Holman Street and the south by a line near Alder Street. They cleared and farmed about 10 of the acres, producing a variety of fruits and vegetables and specializing in Marshall strawberries. They also kept up to four cows and sold milk.
