Description	:	Velda James Leazer, 92, formerly of 737 Grace St., died 10:26 p.m. Jan. 5, 2003, at Ridgewood Care Center. She was born Dec. 3, 1910 at Keokuk County to Lon and Lula Miller Wiggins. She married Carter R. James in 1925. He preceded her in death in 1970. She married Gene F. Leazer Jan. 29, 1982. A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she was a member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter Peggy Lea Fishbum; a step son Terry Leazer; a grandson; and a brother Emmet Wiggins. Funeral services will be I p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Beth Ann French officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
