Mrs. Eaton passed away on Sunday, April 4, 1999 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Officiating at the services was the Rev. Karl Giese of Sac City. Music was provided by congregational singing accompanied by Roland Erickson, organist. The flower committee was Elaine Mott and Deb Arter, Her grandchildren served as honorary casket bearers. Mrs. Eaton was born February 14, 1914, at Wall Lake, the daughter of Pete and Bernice (Limke) Tjaden. She was baptized July 5, 1914. On March 22, 1933, she was married to Lyle Eaton at Wall Lake. The couple lived in Herring and then moved to Wall Lake in January 1974. Mrs. Eaton was employed for a time at General Electric Co., in Carroll, but most of her time was devoted to being a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Lakes United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Birthday Club, Town & Country Club and American Home Research Club. Her hobbies included playing cards, sewing, cooking, gardening, crocheting and visiting friends. Mrs. Eaton is survived by her husband; her children: Donna and Kermit Reiter of Wall Lake, Nelda Leighter of Lake View, Dennis Eaton of Bouton, Diana and Gary Wheeler of Dakota Dunes, SD, Debra and Randall Druivenga of Woodland CA, Rebecca and Mike Koessel of Sherwood, AR; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Farrell of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin brothers; daughter-in-law, Sandra Eaton, and son-in-law Lairy Pratt.
