Description	:	Vencil Cherveny, a resident of Tama county for forty-five years, died at the home of his son, Frank Cherveny, in Clutier, Sunday after a brief illness, largely from general debility. Deceased was seventy-six years of age. He was born in Bohemia in 1836, was married in 1858, and he and his wife came to America the same year, locating in St. Louis, Missouri. Read More	Vencil Cherveny, a resident of Tama county for forty-five years, died at the home of his son, Frank Cherveny, in Clutier, Sunday after a brief illness, largely from general debility. Deceased was seventy-six years of age. He was born in Bohemia in 1836, was married in 1858, and he and his wife came to America the same year, locating in St. Louis, Missouri. From there he enlisted in the Civil war and served about three years. In 1867 they came to Iowa and settled in Tama county The family have lived around Vining and Clutier ever since. The wife died sixteen years ago. They were parents of eleven children, seven boys and four girls. Two boys and one girl died in youth. The eight living children are James, of Toledo; John ,of Clutier, Joe Irving; Frank, Clutier; Fred, Traer, Mrs. Minnie Wilimek, Traer; Mrs. John Polika, Willow River, Minnesota; Mrs. Guy Shaw, Elberon ; all of whom were present at the funeral. The funeral services were held Wednesday at the Clutier hall, conducted by Mr. Hayek, of Cedar Rapids, and burial in the National cemetery south of Vining beside the wife.
