Description	:	Funeral Services for VeNona Galer, age 87, of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of Niobrara were held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Presbyterian Church in Niobrara. Reverend Donna Carpenter officiated with burial in the L Eau Qui Court Cemetery in Niobrara. Venona Marie Wilson Galer, daughter of Arthur and Tina Wilson, was born September 21, 1918 at Presho, SD. She and her family later moved to Wyoming. After spending several years there she moved to Verdel, NE with her family in 1933. She attended Verdel Public School, and graduated there. Venona Marie Wilson Galer, daughter of Arthur and Tina Wilson, was born September 21, 1918 at Presho, SD. She and her family later moved to Wyoming. After spending several years there she moved to Verdel, NE with her family in 1933. She attended Verdel Public School, and graduated there. Venona worked in her dads grocery store. In 1940 she married Gilbert Anderson and to this union one daughter, Joan, was born. They lived in Omaha for several years. Sometime later, Venona and her daughter moved back to Verdel to live with her dad, Arthur Wilson. In 1959, Venona and Elden Galer were united in marriage and lived in Niobrara, NE. They moved to Arizona in 1969 and lived there the rest of their lives. Venona passed away Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Regency Health Center at the age of 87. She accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour in January of 1988, and was a member of the Chandler Presbyterian Church in Chandler, AZ. Survivors include her sister, Vera Wurtz of Spencer, NE; three grandsons; one great granddaughter, one great grandson ; two nephews; two nieces; other relatives and friends. Venona was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother and her daughter, Joan. Interment was in LEau Qui Court Cemetery at Niobrara, NE. arrangements.
