Description	:	Vera Maxine Breitigam, 87, died at 1:15 p.m. May 24, 2010, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home, Wapakoneta. She was born Aug. 28, 1922, in Lima to Carl and Ida Lucille Shroyer Walti, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 11, 1942, she married Emmett Eugene Breitigam Jr., who died May 19, 2006. Mrs. Breitigam was a homemaker and had worked on the farm for several years. She enjoyed cooking and having cookouts with her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and treasured her time spent with them. She was an avid sports fan, especially of NASCAR and basketball. Survivors include four... Survivors include four sons, Gary (Bev) Breitigam, of Lima, Daniel (Jean) Breitigam, of Wapakoneta, James (Pam) Breitigam, of St. Henry, and Ed (Jane) Breitigam, of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Patricia (Larry) Horn, of Waynesfield, and Dianne (Robert) Motter, of Harrod; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert E. (Peg) Walti, of Waynesfield, and George F. (Charlene) Walti, of Lima; three sisters, Flossie Randall, of Logan, Pauline Randall, of Wapakoneta, and Wilma Randall, of Waynesfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis G. Breitigam, who died June 16, 2008; a great-grandson, Luke Coder; and two sisters, Betty J. Walti Neuenschwander and Marjorie Weidel. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Ernest Plemmons will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Auglaize Acres Nursing Home.
