Description	:	Verna Ellen First Johnson, 87, of 628 Catalpa Avenue, died Monday at 6 p.m. in Lima Memorial Hospital. Born April 8, 1888, in Allen County, she was the daughter of Andrew J. and Mary Leffel Armentrout. She married Charles O. First, who died in 1958, and then in 1961 married Rev. Grover Johnson, who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Harold First of 500 N. Jameson, Rodger First of 780 N. Main, Stella Gatton of 1113 Belvidere and Lucille Thomas of Oakland, Calif.; 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was a member of First Church of God, former teacher of the ladies Sunday school class and member of the Unity Class of the church. She was involved in missionary activities of the church. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the church, Rev. Alfred E. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 tonight at Siferd Westwood Chapel.
