Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, with burial in the Carroll City Cemetery. The Rev. Ernest F. Martin, D.D., will officiate. She was born at Mason City Nov. 24, 1902, a daughter of William and Serina Dancliff Graney. She graduated from high school at Mason City and in 1924 from Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She began teaching in 1925 and had been a resident of this area since then. She taught kindergarten classes at Carroll Community Schools and upon her retirement in May, 1969, was honored for a 17-year teaching career at a luncheon given by the Carroll Education Association. Her marriage to Mr. McCarville took place Aug. 17, 1933, in SS. Peter and Paul Church in Carroll with the late Rev Schenkelberg officiating. They have made their home in Carroll and for the past several years have resided at 1838 Crestview drive. Mrs McCarville was a member of the First United Methodist church and Circle No 1 of the United Methodist Women, she also belonged to the Carroll county Club. Surviving with her husband, William, are a son William Ben McCarville of Carroll; four grandchildren; a brother, Clifford Graney; and a sister, Mrs Ed (June) Finnegan both of Mason City; a sister-in-law Mrs Maude (Len) Grandy of San Diego, CA. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
