She was a homemaker and self-employed house cleaner. Verna also enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, watching car racing, and country & western music, especially listening to Hank Williams, Jr., and the Grand Ole Opry station on the radio. Verna was a communicant of the Calvary Baptist Church in Flemington, NJ. A memorial service for Verna will be held there at the Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Chuck Perone. She will be interred with her parents at Highland Cemetery in Hopewell, NJ. All arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
