Description	:	Vernet W. Robertson,79, of the Burlington Care Center, formerly of Keokuk, died Wednesday, September 20, at 8:36 a.m. at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital. He was born March 4, 1910, in Summitville, Iowa, the son of Ralph W. and Nellie Mae Rhum Robertson,. He marrried Nelle Estelle Robison on May 21, 1934, in Keokuk. He was a resident of Keokuk for 68 years before moving to Ames in 1978 and rsided in Burlington for the last 18 monts. He retired from the Gleason Corp. of Ft. Madison in 1965. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church of Keokuk. Survivors include his daughter Mrs. Marvin (Donna) Dains of Montrose; sons Robert V. of Middle Amans, Larry C. of Arlington, Texas, Thomas L. of Burlington and Richard E. of LaGrange, MO.; sister Mrs. Wilbur (Dorothy) Feldman of Keokuk, 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife on September 13, 1987, and a brother. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home with Dr. David Castrodale officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Keokuk. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home and the family will meet with friends from 7-9 p.m.
