Description	:	Vernon Feldman, age 84 of Kenmare, died Saturday, July 22nd, at the Kenmare Community Hospital. His funeral was Tuesday, July 25th at 10:00 a.m. at the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare. Burial followed in the Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare. Officiating for the service was Rev. Charles Taft. Organist was Joan Larson. Vocalist was Linda Freeman. Active Casketbearers included Herman Hansen, Gordon James, Wilfred Rud, Don Norrie, Henry Seime, and Chet Stroklund. Vernon Edward Feldman was born on February 10, 1905 on the family farm in Greenbush Twp. Of Ward County, a son of Jacob and Martha (Ceynar) Feldmann. Vernon was raised there and attended rural schools for his education. He was married to Hazel Lumley on April 14, 1946 at Minot and they continued to live and farm the family homestead in Greenbush Twp. Vernon retired from farming in 1976 and they moved into Kenmare in 1983 but spent the next few summers on the farm. He was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church. He also served on the Greenbush Twp. Election board as well as being the township assessor for several years. He was also a member of the Kenmare Farmers Union. Vernon is survived by his wife Hazel of Kenmare; son, Lee and his wife Ellen of Minot; daughter, Vernese Lathrop and her husband, Miland of West St. Paul, MN; grandson Paul Feldmann; brothers Everett of Kenmare, and Howard of Exeter, CA; and sisters, Lucille Johnson of Leeds, ND, Elta Frederickson of Mohall; and Marjorie Stroklund of Libby, MT.
