Mr. Anderson was born Oct. 14, 1947, on a farm in Greeley County, northeast of Wolbach, to Bart and Leona (Nestor) Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Donna L. Anderson of Wolbach; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Jamie Smith of Cedar Rapids, Vickie and Bryan Coxbill of Elba and Kay and Adam Dresden of St. Paul; and three sisters and a brother-in-law, Josie Knapp of Grand Island, Sandra Bittner of Hastings and Janet and Duane Bittner of Wood River. He also leaves to cherish his memory nine grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Eric (Abby), Danielle (Sean), Gordon, Bella, Jonathan, Anderson “AJ” and Zack; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Aryana; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carla and Willard Kunze of Palmer, Marlene and Larry Mostek of St. Paul, Diana Merriman of Lincoln, Kathy Mahrt of Wolbach, and Sherri and Bob Molt of Spalding. Vic attended Greeley County rural schools and graduated from Wolbach High School in 1965. He was united in marriage to Donna L. Lange on Dec. 9, 1967, at St. Paul. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from April 1968 to March 1970. He and Donna lived in Wolbach, where he worked for Grossart’s Hardware and Propane. He later worked for Molt’s Manufacturing in Spalding until 1991, when he retired for health reasons. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Wolbach Volunteer Fire Department. He was a former member of Ray Mapes American Legion Post 236 and had served on the Wolbach Village Board and was a former mayor of Wolbach. Vic enjoyed playing cards, camping and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Virginia Grosch; three brothers-in-law, Louis Knapp, Tom Merriman and Melvin Mahrt; and his in-laws, Carl and Ferne Lange.
