Mr. Greenwood farmed his family farm with crops, hogs and dairy cattle. In 1977, he purchased the Kent Feed Dealership in Cascade. He retired in 1995. He was born on Dec. 17, 1932, in Farley, son of Edward and Gladys (Beatty) Greenwood. He was a veteran of the Army, having served from 1953 to 1955. On Aug. 17, 1957, he married Gail "Dorene" Dubuque; she preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 1985. He later married Linda F. (Berger) Roe on Dec. 26, 1987, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Temple Hill. Roy was very active in the community. He served as an Elder at the Cascade Community Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Cascade Community Cemetery Board and served as a director for Shady Rest Care Center for 27 years. He was a member of the Cascade American Legion and was a dedicated 4-H Leader. He was a volunteer of anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by anyone who knew him. Surviving are his wife, Linda F. Greenwood, of Cascade; two sons, Steven Greenwood and Bruce (Lisa) Greenwood, both of Cascade; three stepchildren, Lee (Marcella) Roe and Daniel Roe, both of Cascade, and Doreen Roe, of Dubuque; eight grandchildren, Megan Greenwood, Lee III, Nathan, Dylan, Garrett and Ryan Roe and Karen and Christopher Perkins; his twin brother, Franklin "Rollie" (Patty) Greenwood, of Cascade; and several nephews and nieces. He also was preceded in death by his parents, Edward, in 1964, and Gladys, in 1965. A memorial fund has been established for the Cascade Community Presbyterian Church Sunday School program.
