Description	:	Victor Mason, son of Mrs. Elvira Mason, an old-time resident of Lamoni, died at Rochester, Minnesota, on August 24, 1915. He suffered for years with severe catarrh and with gallstone trouble, especially since last April, and when he was finally taken to the hospital was considered as in too low a condition to endure an operation. Read More	Victor Mason, son of Mrs. Elvira Mason, an old-time resident of Lamoni, died at Rochester, Minnesota, on August 24, 1915. He suffered for years with severe catarrh and with gallstone trouble, especially since last April, and when he was finally taken to the hospital was considered as in too low a condition to endure an operation. He was born at Washington, Iowa, June 9, 1874, and at the time of his death his age was 41 years, 2 months, and 15 days. November 14, 1894, he was united in marriage to Miss Jessie Merritt, Elder A.S. Cochran performing the ceremony. To them was born one son now working in the harvest fields of Dakota. He was not located in time for him to accompany his mother to Lamoni with the body. For some years the family have been living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at the Saints' church at ten o'clock Friday, August 27, the sermon being by Elder H.A. Stebbins, assisted by Elder A.S. Cochran, and the mortal remains were laid to rest in Rose Hill. Mrs. Elvira Mason is ill at Saint Joseph, Missouri, and was unable to come to the funeral, but her sons, Roscoe and William Mason, of that place were in attendance.
