VIDA JANE HOWARD IS VICTIM OF ACCIDENT Mrs. Vida Jane Howard, wife of Mr. Oscar Howard, while on her way home from work Monday evening shortly before six o'clock, was hit by a car driven by Mr. William S. Cox, of near Marion, and so badly injured that she died at the McCready Memorial Hospital about two hours later. Mrs. Howard was employed in the S. Rosenbloom factory near Broadway, and had worked late on Monday. Mrs. Howard was 55 years of age, the daughter of the late Benton Tyler and Mrs. Nancy Lawson Tyler, who survives. She was a very estimable lady, well liked, sincere, friendly, and had a host of friends who were shocked and grieved at her sudden and tragic death. Her body rested at the Bradshaw Funeral Parlors until Thursday afternoon, when funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock in the Asbury Methodist Church, with the pastor, Rev. J. T. Rowlenson, officiating. Interment was in Asbury cemetery. Many beautiful floral pieces, sent by friends and her co-workers attested to the high esteem and regard in which she was held. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles Landon and Miss Lurie Howard, and one son, Theodore Howard, all of Crisfield; one sister, Mrs. Eva Taylor, of Baltimore; and four brothers, Isaac and Chester Tyler, of Crisfield, Mark Tyler, of Baltimore, and Edwin Tyler, of Philadelphia.
