Description	:	Vinton A. Gallimore, 75, of Floyd, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 1997 in a Roanoke hospital. He was born January 29, 1922 in Indian Valley, Va. to the late C. L. and Lou Stella Gallimore. He was a lifelong resident of Floyd County and a dedicated member of the Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty six years, Irene H. Gallimore. Other survivors are: three daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and Mitch Bissette, Bailey, N. Gallimore, Floyd; five sisters, Arnie Simpkins, Roxie Boyd, Edith Quesenberry, Floyd, Dovie Quesenberry, Riner, Isabel Shelor, Christiansburg; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Richard W. Thomas and the Rev. Hebron Quesenberry officiating. Burial will be in Bever Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Maberry Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Floyd County Rescue Squad.
