Read More	Viola Dorale July 7, 1910-June 23, 2006 Viola Bertha Dorale was born July 7, 1910, the daughter of Carl and Anna Nemitz Schultz. She died at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, June 23, 2006 at the age of ninety-five. Viola was baptized in Christ August 7, 1910 and confirmed April 13, 1924 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hanover Township near Charter Oak. She received her education in St. Paul's Lutheran School. After completing her education, she helped on the family farm, first her mother in the home and then picking corn and shocking grain with her father. She was united in marriage to Martin Dorale, February 9, 1930, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hanover. The couple settled on a farm near Battle Creek, Iowa and later, farmed south of Charter Oak for ten years before purchasing a farm near Charter Oak. The couple were blessed with the birth of three children. Viola was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed embroidering for family and friends and in her leisure time, she enjoyed socializing with family and friends at a game of cards. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak and the Ladies Aid. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Martin in 1978, two sons, Terry in 1973 and Burdell in 1997; four brothers, Paul, Bernhard, William and Edger; and one sister, Helen McKee. Survivors include one daughter, Frances Boettger and her husband, Les of Denison; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Erna Kastner of Kiron. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak, Iowa. Rev. Richard Merrill officiated the services and grave side rites held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Charter Oak. Organist Art Beeck provided accompaniment for the congregational hymns, "Jesus, Your Blood and Righteousness", "Asleep in Jesus", and "Abide With Me, Fast Falls The Eventide". Those serving as pallbearers were Ralph Boettger, Rick Dorale, Tim Goslar, Allan Boettger, Ralph Dorale and Dale More. The family invited everyone in attendance to join them in fellowship and lunch served by the Ladies Aid. A Prayer Service was held 7 p.m., Monday at the Huebner Funeral Home in Charter Oak.
