Lumry - Deceased - On last Friday afternoon, shortly after the arrival of the eastern passenger, a long procession of those who would pay their respects to the deceased wended its way to the Presbyterian church, where the obsequies were held. Here the 25 minutes of song, prayer, scripture and remarks carried forward quietly and tenderly, formed an impressive service. The careful floral arrangements in the front of the church, together with the designs and the boquets, also bore their measure of tribute to the esteem in which the deceased was held. The church from which she was buried was one where she held her membership for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Lumry were married in January 1875. Of the five children born to them, three are well known here, having grown up among us, until two years ago when the family removed from the community. It was surely fitting that the mother should be brought to our Fullerton cemetery to repose by the dear children who have preceded her. The deceased died of meningitis last Thursday morning at Kearney, after an illness of one week. To Mr. Lumry, family and relatives, we offer our sincere condolence.
