Description	:	Viola Friedaricka (Backhus) Mauch was born to her loving parents Carl Johann August "John" and Anna (Wurdeman) Backhus on Saturday August 3, 1912 at Leigh, Colfax County Nebraska. Viola attended St. John's Parochial School at Creston, Platte County through the 8th grade. Viola moved to Scribner, Dodge County in 1935. Viola was united in marriage to Oscar Mauch on Saturday November 26, 1938, the couple were blessed over their years of marriage with three children, a daughter and two sons. Read More	Viola Friedaricka (Backhus) Mauch was born to her loving parents Carl Johann August "John" and Anna (Wurdeman) Backhus on Saturday August 3, 1912 at Leigh, Colfax County Nebraska. Viola attended St. John's Parochial School at Creston, Platte County through the 8th grade. Viola moved to Scribner, Dodge County in 1935. Viola was united in marriage to Oscar Mauch on Saturday November 26, 1938, the couple were blessed over their years of marriage with three children, a daughter and two sons. Viola was a good homemaker, she was employed as a cook at the Sinclair Café from 1962 to 1965, and also cooked at the Scribner High School. Viola was a cook at the Good Samaritan Center for ten years and served as a volunteer until 1993. Viola attended church with her family at St. Peter Lutheran at Scribner. Viola was a member of the St. Peter's Ladies' Aid and the Lutheran Laymen's League. Viola sadly passed on Sunday June 19, 1994 at the Good Samaritan Center at Scribner at the age of 81 years, 10 months, 16 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 29,905 days. Viola's funeral service was held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Tuesday June 21, 1994 at 10:30a with Rev. Donald Brunner officiating. Spear-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of her arrangements. Viola was interred in the Scribner Cemetery. Viola's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory.
