Born near Birmingham, Iowa, February 21, 1867 she was the daughter of William Anna Rachel Widger. She had lived in the Batavia community for many years. Ill health during recent months and a crippling condition for many years had confined her to her room. Her husband James McCleary had preceded her in death August 11, 1934. Her husband James McCleary had preceded her in death August 11, 1934. Surviving are a sister, Mary Eleanor Fisher, Ottumwa, and a niece, Mrs. Tom Williamson, Ottumwa, and a nephew, John Beghtol, Eldon. Two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 9 AM Tuesday at the Carroll Reese funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Bruce B. Matthews of The Davis Street Christian Church. Further services and burial will be held in the McCleary cemetery near Batavia at 10 AM.
