Henry and Augusta (Stolle) Otjen. Viola baptized on January 22, 1922 and then confirmed in the Lutheran Faith on May 12, 1935 at St. John Lutheran Church. She graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1939. She then worked in different homes a local café and grocery store. Viola married Norris L. Viola baptized on January 22, 1922 and then confirmed in the Lutheran Faith on May 12, 1935 at St. John Lutheran Church. She graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1939. She then worked in different homes a local café and grocery store. Viola married Norris L. Bredehoft on November 23, 1941 at St. John Lutheran Church. As Norris served in the U.S. Army she moved him to Junction City, Kansas Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Viola was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she sang with the choir for 50 years, served in all of the offices of the ladies aide, and held offices in the American Legion Auxiliary in the unit, county and district level. She worked as an assistant cook for the Battle Creek Public Schools for 5 years retiring in 1983. She and Norris spent time vacationing in Europe, and would spend their winter months in Yuma, Arizona. She liked to embroider and crochet. She and Norris became residents of the Norfolk Veterans Home in 2007. Viola is survived by: husband, Norris Bredehoft of Norfolk; sons and their wives, James and Kathy Bredehoft and John and Mitzi Bredehoft all of Battle creek; grandchildren, Michael and his wife Pam, Rachelle, Crystal, Rebecca, Courtney, Angela and Seth. Viola was preceded in death by: parents, seven brothers and one sister.
