She married Clarence Kemper and later Frank Dodson. The family lived in a variety of places including Hastings and Minden. She moved to Kearney in 2012 and lived at Cambridge Court and later Mother Hull Home. Surviving relatives include her son, Keith Kemper of Minden, NE. Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dodson; twin sister, Violet Thayer.
