Read More	Violet Amanda (Friedrichsen) Moeller (1905 - 1990) Violet Amanda Moeller, the daughter of Martin and Anna Gottburg Friedrichsen, was born near Kiron, Ia., March 27, 1905, and died Saturday, May 5, 1990, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison at the age of 85 years. As a child, she received her education in a rural school near her home where she also helped with work on the farm and in the home. Violet and Robert M. Moeller were united in marriage Dec. 20, 1922, in the parsonage of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. They made their home on the family farm where they reared the six children they were blessed with. In 1936, she was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Faith at the Friedens Church in Schleswig. Throughout her life, Violet worked hard, first as a child and then as a wife and mother. She dedicated her life to her family, enjoyed the time spent caring for her family, and had a sincere affection for her children and grandchildren which gave her the endurance she had. She enjoyed cooking, baking and socializing with her family and friends and the time she spent with those she loved will always be remembered by those she loved. After her husband's death in 1949, Violet continued to farm. In 1962, she moved to Denison where she worked for St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church cooking for the nuns, and serving as housekeeper for Fr. Lloyd White for many years. Preceding Violet in death were her parents; her husband, Robert; one son, Richard; five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her children: LaMae Miller of Ida Grove, Robert Moeller of Sioux City, Charlene and her husband, Howard Iversen of Vail, Maxine Hansohn of Bettendorf, and Sharon and her husband, Charles Bandow of Denison; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and her daughter-in-law, Joan Moeller of Denison. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Rev. Joseph Boysen officiated at the services with interment in the Morgan Cemetery near Schleswig. The musical selection was "How Great Thou Art." Serving as pallbearers were Daryl Miller, Duane Miller, Ross Iversen, Robert Iversen, Scott Hansohn, Brian Moeller, Jim Iversen, Randy Miller, Mike Miller and Robert Paul Moeller.
