The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 15 at 10:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Platte Center, Nebraska, with Rev. Brad Birtell officiating. Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery, rural Monroe, Nebraska. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Violet was born April 3, 1928, in Platte County, Nebraska, to Fred and Josephine (Rudeman) Keller. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Violet was united in marriage to Walter Leroy Bruhn on June 9, 1947, at Grace Lutheran Church. To this union two children were born – Leon Allen and Nadine Kathlene. Violet was actively involved in Ladies Aide and Extension Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and decorating wedding and birthday cakes. She loved to travel and camp, but mostly, she adored spending time with her family, near and far. Violet’s smile, hugs, and genuine kindness touched all who met her.
