Mrs. McNeilus was born on a farm north of Bristow, Sept. 19, 1915, where she still lived with her husband, Archie, at the time of her death. Violet was the daughter of Chris and Minnie Rover Hencken. Read More	Allison Tribune 1989 VIOLET MCNEILUS Mrs. Violet McNeilus of Bristow, passed away at the Franklin General Hospital at Hampton, on Tuesday morning March 2, where she had been a patient for a short time. Mrs. McNeilus was born on a farm north of Bristow, Sept. 19, 1915, where she still lived with her husband, Archie, at the time of her death. Violet was the daughter of Chris and Minnie Rover Hencken. She received her education at Coldwater No. 9 country school and Bristow Public School. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Leonard. She married Archie McNeilus in Galena, IL, on July 22, 1933. They farmed for forty years before retiring. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary of Bristow. She is survived by her husband, Archie McNeilus; a son Bill McNeilus, Oklahoma City; one grandson, Mike McNeilus, Oklahoma City; two grand daughters, Mrs. Ronald Moilien of Viroqua, WI, Mrs. Robert Franzblow of Oconomowoc, WI and five great grandsons. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 23, 1989 at 1:30 p.m. at the Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont, with Rev. Burket officiating. Burial followed at the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. John Stock was organist and the soloist was Mrs. Norman Brown. Pallbearers were Ronald Moilien, Mike McNeilus, Robert Franzblow, Kenneth Parker, Orville Fox, and Bill Beadle.
