Description	:	Virgil was the son of John Craig & Charottle Stanley. He married Carrie S. Mclntyre on August 26, 1858 in Farmington, Franklin County, Maine. To this union, 2 chidlren were born: Charley Ellis Samuel Abbott Virgil L. Craig fitted for college at the Farmington Academy and entered Bowdoin College, but was compelled by ill-health to relinquish his collegiate studies at the close ot his sophomore year.
