He received his education at Vienna and was baptized and confirmed in the Pleasant Lutheran Church at Vienna. During W.W.II, he served with the U.S. Navy. On February 14, 1951, he married Gladys M. Virgil is survived by his wife, Gladys; daughters and son-in-law, Vickie Hardin of LaVista, NE; Bonnie and Andrew Wiles of Las Cruces, NM; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Karen Jorgensen of Omaha, NE; Bruce and Rita Jorgensen of Webster City; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Vernal Jorgensen of Sioux Falls; sister, Linda Anderson of Lake Preston, SD; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and 2 sisters. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and American Legion Post #191. He enjoyed playing cards, having coffee with his friends, and especially liked the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
