Description	:	Virginia Ann (Ray) Olson, 90, of Genoa, passed away September 9, 2015, in Genoa, Nebraska. Virginia was born July 4, 1925, in Hebron to Elmer and Carrie (Campbell) Ray. She attended school in Hebron, graduating from Hebron High School in 1942. After high school she moved to Lincoln and worked for the Legislature. On September 8, 1946, she married David F. Olson in Lincoln. They moved to Genoa in 1946 where she worked for Sen. Herb Nore. She also worked as a secretary for Glen Rodehorst and was a homemaker. Olson in Lincoln. They moved to Genoa in 1946 where she worked for Sen. Herb Nore. She also worked as a secretary for Glen Rodehorst and was a homemaker. Virginia was a member of First Congregational Church in Genoa, where she was very active, singing in the choir and preparing church bulletins and Communion for the services. She was also a member of the Genoa Eastern Star for more than 71 years and a member of the Genoa Community Hospital Board. She enjoyed watching Husker football games, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and helping others. Virginia is survived by a daughter, Ginette (Larry) Gerdes of Lake Havasu, Arizona; sons, Charles OIson of Genoa, Scott (Jaylene) Olson of Havana, Illinois, and Douglas (Linda) Olson of Genoa; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral service at Grace Baptist Church in Genoa (formerly the Congregational Church.) Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Genoa.
