Read More	Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), March 23, 1922, p. 1, col. 3 DEATH OF MRS. JACOB J. SMITH She Passed Away at Hospital in Lincoln Saturday Morning. Mrs. Jacob J. Smith, of David City, passed away early Saturday morning, March 18, at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Lincoln, where she had been taken a few weeks ago for medical aid. She was in her 39th year. With her passing, there is gone a kindly woman, a good wife and mother. Born at Petersburg, Neb., on July 1, 1883, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Henn, Virginia Henn grew to womanhood and was married there to Jacob J. Smith on February 15, 1905. Mr. and Mrs. Smith came to Butler county immediately after their marriage and had since made their home on a farm until 1916, when they moved to David City. Surviving Mrs. Smith are her husband and five children, Ella, Marie, Jerome, Leo and Wilford, also her parents and four brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, St. Mary's Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were held in St. Mary's Catholic church, David City, at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, March 21, and were conducted by Rev. Father Sproll, Rev. Father Mock and Rev. Father Reddy. Singing was by M. C. Demuth, Dr. W. F. Gilmore and Misses Mary Considine, Minnie Ficke, Agnes Hilger, and Josephine Kreizinger. J. N. Behrns, Raymond Henn, H. N. Loosbrock, Albert Mack, Bernard Reisdorf and Peter Smith, nephews of Mrs. Smith, acted as pallbearers. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery. Relatives of Mrs. Smith who came from elswehere to the funeral were her mother, Mrs. N. Henn, three brothers, John, Nick and Joseph Henn, a brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Brinkman, and two nephews, Raymond Henn and Albert Mack, from Petersburg; a sister, Mrs. Edward Loosbrock, a nephew, H. N. Loosbrock, and a niece, Miss Viola Loosbrock, from Lincoln; and an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kurt, and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Neal Smith and Cornelius Smith, from Bellwood. Card of Thanks - We wish to extend our sincere thanks to our many friends and relatives who so generously aided us during the sickness and at time of death of our dear wife and mother, also for the beautiful floral offerings.
