Virginia was born February 11, 1915 at home 5 miles northwest of Sargent to Harry and Veda Sharp, which was her home for 21 years until she married Chris Bentley. Read More	OBITUARY OF VIRGINIA IRENE SHARP BENTLEY Virginia Irene Sharp Bentley, age 75, a life-long resident of Sargent died Saturday, January 12, 1991 in her home. Virginia was born February 11, 1915 at home 5 miles northwest of Sargent to Harry and Veda Sharp, which was her home for 21 years until she married Chris Bentley. She acquired her grade school education at Zion Hill School and graduated from Sargent High School in 1933. She taught at Rose Grove School for 2 years. On March 8, 1936 Virginia married Chris Bentley and they moved to a farm three and one fourth miles north east of Sargent which was their home for 54 years. To this union three sons were born: Gaylord, Darel, and Duane. Virginia was a member of the Methodist Church and Better Homemakers Club for over 50 years and a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She loved making a Christian home for her family, also making special foods, raising a good garden, canning, and helped build their new home in 1963. She also enjoyed making, baking and taking many things to the fair and took top place for several years. Her hobby was making afghans. She was a devoted wife and mother always striving to do better, and a friend to all. Her health was poor in later years but her faith in God never wavered. She enjoyed their family get-togethers and loved music. Survivors include, son Gaylord, his wife Donna and children, Donald, Julie and Gaylene of Sargent; son Darel, his wife Gingerand Stephannieof Westminister, CO.; son Duane, his wife Cheryl and daughter Yvonne of Berthoud, CO., and son Shawn and wife Carin of Longmont, CO. Also a sister Shirley Engle of Lincoln, NE. and a brother Maurice Sharp of Springfield, Oregon. Preceding her in death was her husband, parents and little brother. Services were held at the Rhoad Funeral Home Wednesday, January 16, at 2:00p.m., Interment was at the Mount Hope Cemetery at Sargent with Rev. Daniel Engclhardt officiating. The Rebekah Lodge gave their memorial service. Music was: Fred and Rosie Cram singers, and Linda Seifried organist. Honorary Pallbearers were: Roy Hoobler, Don Liebcrt, Clifford Stevenson, Donald Tinkham, Irvin Longmore, Archie Dainton, Howard Goble, and Raymond Tinkham. Pall- .bearers were: Marvin Lukesh, Brad Chalupa, Tom Klingemann, Donald Clark, John Smolik, and Shawn Bentley.
