Virginia "June" Reich Billings Gazette, The (MT) \| 25 June 2011 BOISE, Idaho — Virginia "June" Reich formerly of Billings, passed away peacefully at her home in Boise, Idaho. She was 84. Born in Flora, Ill.., to parents Earl and Agnes Creek, she was the youngest of three sisters. The family moved to Billings in 1933, and relocated to Illinois in 1940. The family later returned to Billings, where June graduated from Billings Senior High School. She began work as a switchboard operator for Mountain Bell shortly after graduating from high school. June had the good fortune of meeting Emil Reich, who had returned home to Billings after serving in the armed forces. The couple soon married and enjoyed an active social life and made many lasting friendships that continue to this day. On October 27, 2011, the couple would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Throughout their married life, the couple resided in various states. They settled in Billings and began to raise their family. Self-employed, Emil and June built a successful carpet cleaning business. They raised four children and enjoyed many outdoor activities, spending time camping and fishing. June possessed a wonderful sense of humor. She will be remembered for her positive outlook on life and unique expressions, which were influenced by her mother. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend. Her grace and wisdom will remain with us forever. June was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Wanda and Thelma; her children, Linda and husband, Clifford Bernhardt; and Larry. Their memories lived deep in her heart and were eternally remembered. She is survived by her husband, Emil; children Tracy and wife, Cindy Hopper, of Kingsburg, Calif.; daughter Kelly Reich of Boise; daughter-in-law Kathy Reich of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; and grandchildren Erin Howard and husband Chris Howard of Marshfield, Wis.; Ryan Hand of Boise; Katelyn and Jacob Reich of Wisconsin Rapids; Keegan Reich of Kingsburg; Nathan Benfit of Billings; and great-grandchild Isaac Howard, son of Chris and Erin.
