Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 815 12th Avenue S.E., Aberdeen, with Pastor Tony LaPorte officiating. Burial will follow at Warner Township Cemetery, Warner, S.D. Spady was born March 18, 1920, at Hooker, Okla., to Wilbur and Bertha (Gaede) Spady. She married Walter Harold Krause in 1947. They settled on the family farm near Mansfield, S.D., where they farmed most of their life. She was a wonderful mother of seven children, Ronald Spady of Aberdeen, Patti Johnson of Puyallup, Wash., Harold Krause of Sioux Falls, S.D., Alan Krause of Aberdeen, Carol (Mark) Preszler of Aberdeen, Linda (Jeff) Freeman of Piedmont, Ala., and Sharon (Gordon) Goetz of Aberdeen. She will also be missed by her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Leonard Spady of Liberal, Kan., and Donald Spady of Manassa, Va., and two sisters, Esther Hindergardt of Pierce, Colo., and Bernice Prock of Webb City, Mo. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Levene Spady and two sisters, Lillian West and Edna Boshell. Virginia passed on to her family a loving faith in God. She is laid to rest awaiting the Lord Jesus to awaken her. Casketbearers will be Travis Goetz, Justin Goetz, James Johnson, James Krause, Wayne Kayser and Kelly Schlenker.
