Virginia Mae Peterson was born on March 25th 1930 to Robert and Mabel Christ. She grew up on a farm near Wimbledon, ND. She had one sister Elaine and two brothers Robert Jr. and Richard. She graduated from Jamestown College with a teaching degree. She was teaching in Berlin, ND when she met Kenneth R. Peterson. They were married on June 10th 1951. Read More	Virginia Peterson, 90, of Fountain Hills, AZ and LaMoure, ND passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Fountain View, Fountain Hills, AZ. Virginia Mae Peterson was born on March 25th 1930 to Robert and Mabel Christ. She grew up on a farm near Wimbledon, ND. She had one sister Elaine and two brothers Robert Jr. and Richard. She graduated from Jamestown College with a teaching degree. She was teaching in Berlin, ND when she met Kenneth R. Peterson. They were married on June 10th 1951. Kenneth and Virginia farmed near Berlin, ND. During her lifetime she was an influential teacher not only to her students but also to her children. She had a God-given talent for painting especially oil paint pictures. She spent many years at Fort Ransom, show casing her art work. Another gift she shared was that of cooking, passing along such talents as making lefse, kuchen, and homemade buns. Virginia and Kenneth enjoyed their retirement years in Mesa, AZ where she enjoyed the beauty of the mountains which she loved. Virginia is survived by her seven children, 19 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. They had seven children Michael Peterson, Diana (Michael) Kramer, Donna (Kevin) Jacobson, Vickie (Dan) Rood, Steven (Carol) Peterson, Betty (Steve) Huber, and Pauline (Reuben) Rascon. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her two brothers. A private family funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grand Rapids Cemetery, Grand Rapids, ND. Adapted from Dahlstrom Funeral Home obituary
