Stonestreet, formerly Mrs. Virginia Thompson, 71, of Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Barnesville, died Saturday, Feb. 12, at the residence of her daughter in Orange Park, after a lengthy illness. Born April 8, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Harris and Mae Montgomery Stonestreet II. Ms. Stonestreet was a graduate of the Visitation Academy in Frederick, and resided in Montgomery County before moving to Florida. Surviving are three daughters, Anne Thompson Heard and husband Chet of Florida, Katherine Thompson Diggins of Montgomery Village, and Jean Thompson Michaud of Solomon; three brothers, L.W. Puglesi and wife Frances of Virginia, Joseph Harris Stonestreet III and wife Doris of Rockville, and Robert Guinn Stonestreet and wife Ruth of Barnesville; and five grandchildren, David Sheehna, Elizabeth Heard, Emily Diggins, Daniel Heard and Sarah Diggins. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Md. 109), Barnesville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesvile Road, Barnesville. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Road, Barnesville, Md. 20838, or to Visitation Monastery/Academy, c/o Sister Marguerite Therese Leary, 200 E. Second St., Frederick, Md. 21701.
