Description	:	Virlie became a part of my family around 1971 when she married my father. I have many fond memories of times spent with her. She was always a happy lady and always had a beautiful smile. She and daddy were a very good match, they enjoyed and liked doing the same things. They both could grow anything and always had a beautiful yard full of flowers and fruit trees. My husband and I spent every weekend with them for 5 years in the 1970's. We had so much fun and laughed until our sides... Read More	Virlie became a part of my family around 1971 when she married my father. I have many fond memories of times spent with her. She was always a happy lady and always had a beautiful smile. She and daddy were a very good match, they enjoyed and liked doing the same things. They both could grow anything and always had a beautiful yard full of flowers and fruit trees. My husband and I spent every weekend with them for 5 years in the 1970's. We had so much fun and laughed until our sides ached. She loved having fun and we had a lot of it. The four of us hauled sawdust to spread on their yard and ours. We drove down back roads looking for interesting things and would always get back home with some wild flowers to plant or something useful that we found. We had some great conversations while sitting under a shade tree snapping beans or plucking chickens. Virlie was featured in the Beebe newspaper several times with her large vegtables, and other things that grew so well for her and daddy. They both loved chickens and had lots of them. She grew gorgeous rhododendrons, I will always remember her lovely roses and all the iris plants. I had never seen so many different colors of irises before nor since. Virlie wore one style of dress and when she could not find them in stores any longer I made them for her. She loved those dresses and made quilt tops from the leftover material. With the scrap material from the dresses those quilts held a lot of memories for her. She loved her dog and all her cats and enjoyed fishing and rabbit hunting. She was a kind, generous lady who loved people and going to church.
