Mrs. Brown was born in Geneva, but the family moved to Fairmont many years ago. She was employed in the courthouse in Geneva several years before marriage. She had lived at Kansas City, Mo., 22 years. She attended school at Fairmont and was graduated from the Louisville, Ky. Presbyterian Theological Seminary. After her marriage to Rev. Rex E. Brown, they went to Africa as missionaries for the Presbyterian church, being stationed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. they operated a youth center at Lulubourg. She married Rex Edwin Brown.
