Description	:	Frank Ritchey was born February 8, 1891, at Geneva, Nebraska, the son of Charles and Lucinda Jewell Ritchey. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fairmont May 25, 1970, at the age of 79. June 7, 1910, he was married to Edith Klein in Custer county. While there, he joined the Evangelical Church of Stoptable, Neb. He farmed in that area for some time and later returned to Fillmore county to continue his farming. Read More	Frank Ritchey was born February 8, 1891, at Geneva, Nebraska, the son of Charles and Lucinda Jewell Ritchey. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fairmont May 25, 1970, at the age of 79. June 7, 1910, he was married to Edith Klein in Custer county. While there, he joined the Evangelical Church of Stoptable, Neb. He farmed in that area for some time and later returned to Fillmore county to continue his farming. Upon leaving the farm, he spent many years at other jobs until retiring. Frank was a lover of horses and had accumulated more than a thousand carvings and models of horses. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and his friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Edith; three sons, Arthur of Geneva, Earl of Santa Cruz, Cal., and Merlin of Fairmont; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Hurst of Fairmont, Mrs. Lawrence (Bernice) Geis of Benedict, Mrs. Doiel (Mildred) Blunk of Fairfield, California and Mrs. Dick (Merna) Price of York; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, besides numerous nieces and nephews and a large number of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, an infant son, a daughter, Vivian Brown; a step-daughter, Lucille Ritchey and a son-in-law, Raymond McMahon. Funeral services were held at the United Church of Christ in Fairmont, May 29, at 2 p.m., Rev. William Reitmeier officiating. Mrs. Jerry Galusha accompanied a male quartet, Federal Bridgman, Marvin Roper, Harold Smith and Marvin Swartz, singing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were Gilbert Albro, Gayle Galusha, Jerry Galusha, Duaine Roper, Jack Snodgrass and Russell Snodgrass. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery.
