Description	:	Viviette L. McCormick age 88, of Pocahontas, passed away on Monday, January 18th, 2016, at the Pocahontas Manor. Viviette Louise Anderson was born August 6,1927 to George and Stella (Funk) Anderson of Fonda, IA and was the oldest of 4 children. Her childhood was spent on the farm in Grant township. Viviette attended country school in Grant Township before finishing her education at Pocahontas High School graduating in 1945. She was class valedictorian and homecoming queen. Viviette Louise Anderson was born August 6,1927 to George and Stella (Funk) Anderson of Fonda, IA and was the oldest of 4 children. Her childhood was spent on the farm in Grant township. Viviette attended country school in Grant Township before finishing her education at Pocahontas High School graduating in 1945. She was class valedictorian and homecoming queen. She married Andrew McCormick, son of Richard and Elvera (Baker) McCormick of Pocahontas on November 4, 1946. Viviette was an avid reader. She also loved doing crafts and bowling. She was a great cook. One of her greatest joys was attending the activities of all her children and grandchildren. She and Andrew did a lot of traveling both with their children and after retirement. They spent several winters in Arizona and California visiting with relatives. They were also able to visit every state in the US as well as taking cruises and traveling to Europe. Prior to retiring Viviette worked as the Deputy Recorder and then as Recorder for Pocahontas county. Viviette is survived by her children: Steven (Suzanne) McCormick of Marne, IA; Jeri Mulloy of Pocahontas IA; Jane McCormick of Pocahontas, IA; Ellen (Michael) Kirchner of Farmington, MN; Nicholas (Tricia) McCormick of Columbus, IN; Cynthia (Mark) Carmichael of Maryville, MO; Six Grandsons; Shannon McCormick; Andrew McCormick; Sean Mulloy; Brien McCormick; Aaron Kirchner; and A.D. McCormick; Six Granddaughters; Kara Podschwit; Sarah Wendt; Kelly Mulloy; Kate McCormick; Jessica Beattie and Molly Wilcock. Great grand children Peyton Podschwit; Aidan and Evan Wendt; Emmet and Leo McCormick; Nora, Owen and Oliver McCormick; Leighton and Landon Beattie; Abby Kirchner; Jax Mulloy-Jordan; McCormick Wilcock; and Olivia Mulloy. Sister Karen (Donald) Whistler of San Diego, CA; sister-in-law, Maria Anderson and brother-in-law, Lou Gutz. Numerous nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends. Viviette was preceded in death by her husband Andrew, her parents George and Stella Anderson; Parents-in-law Richard and Elvera McCormick, son Michael McCormick, son -in-law Michael Mulloy, sister Lorna Mae Gutz, brother Robert Anderson, In-laws Donald and Nadine McCormick; Florine (Mickey) and Ivan Smith; Dorothy and William Tate; Elizabeth (Betty) and Robert Payne. niece Mary Ann Payne; and nephews Robert McCormick, Douglas and David Gutz.
