Description	:	Wade H. Whitney 73, died Wednesday afternoon at his home in Humboldt. Mr. Whitney had been in failing health for a year and bedfast two weeks. Mr. Whitney was born May 4, 1876 at Craig Mo. He was a son of the late Thomas J. and Martha Kincaid Whitney. He was from a family of 10 children When Mr. Whitney was a small child, he came to Richardson County with his parents and since with the exception of a few years spent in Kansas had resided in Richardson County. Mr. Whitney had been in failing health for a year and bedfast two weeks. Mr. Whitney was born May 4, 1876 at Craig Mo. He was a son of the late Thomas J. and Martha Kincaid Whitney. He was from a family of 10 children When Mr. Whitney was a small child, he came to Richardson County with his parents and since with the exception of a few years spent in Kansas had resided in Richardson County. In 1924, his family moved from the Salem community to a farm five miles northwest of Humboldt. In 1945, the couple quit farming and moved to Humboldt. Mar 29 1904, he was married to Miss Bessie Abbott at Topeka, Kansas, Four children were born to the union, one dying in infancy. Besides his widow, Mr. Whitney is survived by a son, Howard Whitney , Humboldt, two daughters, Mrs Leo Goodhart, Humboldt and Mrs. Karl Vonderhaar Gulport, Miss and a sister, Mrs Edith Whitney Cline, Goodland Kansas. There are five grand children. Funeral services for Mr. Whitney will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Humboldt Methodist Church is in charge of Rev.R.W. Sandsted. Burial will be in the Humboldt Cemetery.
