Description	:	Funeral services for Wallace Breitbarth, 92, of West Point will be on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church in rural Pender. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6-8 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point. Wallace died on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Wallace was born on August 6, 1921 in rural Bancroft to Willie and Christine (Roth) Breitbarth. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in rural Pender. Wallace attended Cuming Co. Rural School District #61. On May 31, 1944, he was united in marriage to Ann Jorgensen at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Wallace was engaged in farming on the family farm and later moved to West Point in 1992. Wallace was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church. He served as the Sunday School superintendant for 25 years and was a charter member of its Lutheran Laymen’s League. Survivors include children Connee (Gary) Reimers of West Point, Roger (Jean) Breitbarth of Lincoln, Joy (Doug) McArthur of Sarasota, Fla., Dallas (Jacque) Breitbarth of Bancroft, Joan (Tom) Quinn of Hastings; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Esther Wascher of Trimont Minn. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ann; two step-grandsons, Chris and Sean McArthur and two sisters, Gertrude Wascher and Leola Koopmann.
