Wallace was born near Anthon, on July 12, 1924, the son of Elton Lloyd and Emily Cecelia (Heath) Parker. Funeral services were Wednesday morning May 29, 2002 at the Methodist Church, Anthon, Iowa. He graduated in 1942 from Anthon Community School and started farming. He married Dorothy Sands on July 6, 1948. The couple lived on a few different farms around Anthon until 1982 until they built a new home in town and moved to town. He worked hard and was out everyday working on one of his farms up until this past winter when his health began to fail. Survivors include his wife Dorothy of 53 years; two son, Lloyd and his wife, Jody of Anthon and Frank of La Vista, Nebr.; three daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Gary Seuntjens of Danbury, Carol and Alan Pierce of Spencer, Iowa, and Charlotte and Steve Walsh of Odebolt, Iowa. Grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two sisters, Wilma and Bill Robeson of Cherokee, and Betty and Dick Pedersen of Missoula, Montana along with other relatives, neighbors and friends. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charlie; as an infant, one granddaughter, Angela Pierce, and a son-in-law, Marion "Chick" Ashley.
