Description	:	Walter, 79, 310 S. Ash St., St. Marys, died at 9:10 a.m., at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, where he had been a resident since 2009. He was a son of Henry and Cornelia (Ellerbrock) Bensman. On Sep 12, 1953, he married Anita Millisor, who survives at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community. Also surviving are two sons, Gary (Judy), Martinsburg, WV and Thomas (Sarni), Taiwan; a daughter, Carol (Eric) Foell, Wilmington; by five grandchildren, Lyndsey (Jeff) Barr; Jennifer Bensman; Kelsey Foell, Bennett Bensman and Bayley Foell. He was a 1949 graduate of Celina High School and attended Diesel Engineering school. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War. He retired from the St. Marys Foundry Company and had also operated a Sohio Distributorship. In retirement he worked as a substitute bus driver for the St. Marys City Schools. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys; the Knights of Columbus; American Legion Post 323. He enjoyed traveling and reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Rev. James Seibert, officiating.
