Description	:	Funeral services for Walter Nihart, 70, were conducted Saturday, April 9 at the Congregational Church with Clergyman Dale Frank officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were D.E. Rissler, M.E. Everton, Joseph Filips, Ferd Bogner, Neil Carr and John Rehder. Walter A. Nihart was born May 27, 1895 at Creighton to Mr. and Mrs. Lisander Nihart, where he grew to young manhood and was a car salesman during the time he lived here. Pallbearers were D.E. Rissler, M.E. Everton, Joseph Filips, Ferd Bogner, Neil Carr and John Rehder. Walter A. Nihart was born May 27, 1895 at Creighton to Mr. and Mrs. Lisander Nihart, where he grew to young manhood and was a car salesman during the time he lived here. In February, 1921 he was married to Marie Aubert of Niobrara at Pierce. They lived in Hartington a short time before moving to Crofton, when he took the Civil Service examination to become a mail carries. He carried mail on a Crofton route until the spring of 1961, when he retired. They had one daughter, Laverta, (Mrs. Ed Hesse) of Crofton. He was preceded in death by his wife in December 1961. Death came to Mr. Nihart Thursday morning, April 7, following a short illness. The deceased is survived by his daughter, five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Snell of Creighton.
