Description	:	Walter Aaron Jones was born June 7, 1919 in Summersville, Missouri, the son of Obadiah and Sarah (Brown) Jones. He passed away January 3, 2009 at his home in Birch Tree, Missouri at the age of 89 years. Walter was united in marriage on June 29, 1940 to Jennie Marie Holm at Eminence, Missouri. To this union two sons were born. Read More	Walter Aaron Jones was born June 7, 1919 in Summersville, Missouri, the son of Obadiah and Sarah (Brown) Jones. He passed away January 3, 2009 at his home in Birch Tree, Missouri at the age of 89 years. Walter was united in marriage on June 29, 1940 to Jennie Marie Holm at Eminence, Missouri. To this union two sons were born. He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, Troyce Jones of Douglas County, and Junior Jones and wife, Toni, of Alton, Missouri; one grandson, Mike Jones and wife, Wendy, of Riverton; one granddaughter, Julie Jones of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; two great granddaughters, Kaitlin and Karlie Jones; one sister, Lillian Layman and husband, John; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Those preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Jennie; three brothers; one sister; two infant sons; one granddaughter; and one sister-in-law. Walter was saved and baptized at Fair Grove Community Church in 1945. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and had many friends. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed making gardens after retiring from 21 years in business. He also liked to hunt and fish and visit with family and friends. He will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in Birch Tree Church of God of Prophecy with Bro. Roger Smith officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Birch Tree, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View.
