"Bubber" Burns, 72, of 851 Webber Lake Road, Union, widower of Janie Pruitt Burns, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care after an extended illness. Mr. Burns was born April 3, 1932 in the Lockhart community of Union County, son of Vera Carter Burns of Lockhart and the late Walter Lee Burns. "Bubber" Burns, 72, of 851 Webber Lake Road, Union, widower of Janie Pruitt Burns, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care after an extended illness. Mr. Burns was born April 3, 1932 in the Lockhart community of Union County, son of Vera Carter Burns of Lockhart and the late Walter Lee Burns. He was retired from Carlisle Finishing Plant as a department manager and attended Lockhart United Methodist Church. Mr. Burns was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons, Andy Burns and his wife, Jane, and Darrell Burns and his wife, Alisha, all of Spartanburg; a daugther Dawn B. Knox and husband Jason of Union; a brother, LeBron Burns and his wife, Billie Rae, of Lockhart; two granddaughters, Janie Cecilia Knox of Union and Lindsay B. Horton of Anderson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 1, at 2 p.m. at Lockhart United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Alan Quarles. Interment will be in Union Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 at the Lewis Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Mobley, Travis Anderson, Kenny Morris, Steve Morris, Gene Childers, and Joey Bullington. Memorials may be made to Lockhart United Methodist Church, P.O.
