Walter Bruno Kreuger, a former long time resident of this community, died at his late home in Atlantic on Friday evening, July 2 at 8:15, after a lingering illness, death resulting from complications. He was 64 years, 5 months and 25 days of age. Deceased was born in Barbe, near the famous city of Magdeburg, Germany, on January 17, 1862. Walter Bruno Kreuger, a former long time resident of this community, died at his late home in Atlantic on Friday evening, July 2 at 8:15, after a lingering illness, death resulting from complications. He was 64 years, 5 months and 25 days of age. Deceased was born in Barbe, near the famous city of Magdeburg, Germany, on January 17, 1862. Twenty years later he came to America, settling near Minden, Iowa. In 1907 he retired from the farm and moved to Atlantic. He was united in marriage to Miss Alvina Grobe on February 28, 1888. To this union six children were born, all of whom, together with his wife, survive him. The children are: Walter, Arthur, Henry and Albert of Hancock, Mrs. John Rasmussen of Lincoln township and Mrs. Hermann of Sacramento, California. Six grandchildren are also living. Funeral services were held at the Zion Lutheran church in Atlantic on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. L. H. Lindemeyer officiating. Interment was made in the Walnut cemetery.
