| Description | : | Walter studied at Washington College and inherited the "Buck Skin Creek Tract" from his uncle, Isaac "H" Coles, in 1814 after various family inter transfer transactions. He and his wife built the magnificient "Long Branch" plantation home, so named for a tributary of Buckskin Creek, which was stated to have had the most beautiful interior of almost any of the homes in the area.
