Lyne Died At His Home Monday Funeral services were held at the Denny Funeral home Wednesday, May 25 at 2:30 p. m. for Walter Dalton (Dade), a resident of the Superior community for many years. Rev. J. E. McElroy was the officiating clergyman. Burial was at Evergreen. Walter Dalton Lyne, eldest son of J. M. and Martha A. Lyne was born May 4, 1874 at Atlas, Ohio, and passed away at his home east of Superior, Neb., Monday, May 23, 1949, at the age of 78 years and 19 days. He and his wife have been living at this place the past fifteen months. In February 1885, his parents with their small family came to Superior, Neb. In 1893, they moved from their Kansas farm to their Nebraska farm, where Mr. Lyne made his home for many years. On November 1, 1899, he was married to Lillie L. Jacobs at the home of her parents in Jewell county (sic), Kan. The happy couple moved at once to their home four miles west of Superior, where they lived until January 1948, at which time they moved to the present home. He was a kind and loving husband and a good neighbor. He was always ready and willing to help where help was needed. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Williams, and one brother, Jesse Lyne, both of Superior, Neb., a number of nieces and nephews and cousins. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
